Forum: new stuff
1) The forum has issues figuring out the avatar's dimensions.
Enter them manually. Max size is 150x150.
2) Date Format can be set individually in your profile!
3) In case you can't post or create new topics.
Ask Jo', Darkling, or Arch Evil to check your forum permissions

Re: Forum: Known issues, hints and tips
The topic notification delay is due to a short-coming of the phpBB. The mail-queue is delayed and processed when people view pages on the board. The fewer the accesses the less likely it becomes that notifcations are send. Now I understand, why I sometimes got notifications the moment I viewed the forum.
I don't know why I didn't find that link sooner...
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2164504
Generally it might help if you guys just click on links/topics of the forum for another minute after posting. The moment someone posts the time stamp on the queue file is updated and the forum might therefore "think", it just sent out a batch of mails, which of course it didn't...
I shall see if i can set up some cron-job, that calls the forum regularely in order to send notifies timely.

There is an "ooc" tag already. If it's some simple HTML you can manage go to the Admin Control Panel -> "Customise" and add a BBcode. Otherwise you'd need to explain to me what it's supposed to do.

Re: Forum: new stuff
An update yesterday to the latest Forum Version 3.2.2 failed, because it needs a higher PHP Version than this server runs at the moment. Not that it is really that important, but I am asking my hoster if he'd update php.
Then I deleted some old unused sub-forums. Moved some of their posts and deleted their remaining very old posts. No fear, there was really nothing much of value in there - I posted there for the most part.

Changing the return address is a pre-emptive attempt against spam bots... or so a paranoid part of myself wants to believe.
