Is there a way to get the forum software to underline URLs automatically (when the URL tag is used)?

Oh, and how many posts per page is the default for the forum?

I think it's fine if we either create a 'mature content' forum that's publicly viewable. If we put a warning/disclaimer in the forum description, then we've done our civic duty. There's no way we can verify the age of registered users and whether or not they're old enough to view a mature content forum, after all.

Possibly. In the ACP you can mess with all the styles, under... [Styles]

Sadly phpBB seems to only allow this on a global, not on a per users basis. I set it to 33.

Look at [General] ~> [Post settings] you can limit use of all kinds of things.

While I agree on a "common sense" kind of basis. German Law places me into responsibility to never make any kind of pornographic material accessable for minors :ashamed: So generally, such a Forum would have no "random (Dark) Guest" access.

Well, then I guess we'd have to grant access to the mature content forum on an individual basis. The admins would have to approve anyone who wanted access to it, and those users would have to be logged in to see it.

Do you think this is going to become much of an issue, though?

I had a brief look at it but couldn't find anything resembling a style for URLs... :keineahnung:

Not really. But better safe than sorry.

I checked the laws recently as a discussion came up on an invitation only RPG Forum. Obviously a lot of minor girls there indulged into lolicon hardcore porn writing (yaoi fetish), with each other. In other words a double no-no. You never know what might happen. A parent comes across that content :kipp: and sues the person who merely offered the platform for the forum. Fines and even jail can be the penalty. Having over 1000 users they changed their rules accordingly and prohibited any kind of illegal activities. Like porn written by minors and writing about illegal forms of sex (with animals, minors, rape etc)

Ah, they let you edit the entire stylesheet. For "Redsilver3" I looked up the source of your post and found a "class=postlink" for the URL. This class wasn't defined in the stylesheet. I added it below(!) the standard link definitions (like a:link, a:hover) Styles obviously overwrite each others depending on the order. Your URL has now "text-decoration:underline".

What style are you using?

Do persocons count?

Um, I'm not sure? The default blue, grey and white style, I think. I stick with whatever the forum uses.

It doesn't work. It only underlines the text when the mouse hovers over it. I'd like it to be permanently underlined.

Example URL.

Do they have red, or green blood if dismembered? In case of green they'll pass.

I only edited redsilver3 (yet). You can select/see the style in your profile settings. Default is iirc "prosilver", "subsilver" is its phpbb2 predecessor.

I realised that allowing guest posts in the general discussion forum would be hugely open to abuse, so I created an 'admin & support' subforum, and changed things so guest posts are only allowed in there.

I'd like to put the moderator forum and the admin & support forum in their own category, but I'm a bit daunted by all the permissions that need to be set for a new parent forum. Could you create a new parent forum called 'Administration' and put the mod forum and the admin & support forum in there?

Also, with the password-locked forum, couldn't we just create a new user group that has permission to view the 'mature content' forum, then add users to that group when they request it? It would save people having to remember yet another password.
